Philanthropy
National Philanthropy:
Alpha Chi Omega encourages our members to support victims of domestic violence through connections with local agencies and to assist in the development and implementation of programs and hands-on activities to educate themselves and others about domestic violence. Members can donate, volunteer, or work to change laws in our efforts to eliminate domestic violence.
Local Philanthropy:
Zeta Sigma chapter supports the Harmony House, a local Domestic Violence center in Springfield, MO. Click the image above to visit the Harmony House website. We strive to assist the Harmony house in many ways. We send weekly volunteers to the center to clean the facility, or assist in any way they need us. This past semester we also held a cleaning supply drive when we noticed a severe need. Along with physical donations of items and time, we raise money for the Harmony House as well. Our two main fundraisers are our annual Mom’s Weekend silent auction and our Mock Rock event held each spring. This fall we also held an additionally philanthropy event. The event was called A Chi O’s Take Aim Games and was modeled after the hit TV show Minute to Win It.
